Geographic Situation

The orphanage is located in Loumbila territory, province of Oubritenga, about 20 kms far from Ouagadougou.

Created in 1998 by the  nuns, the orphenage receives and takes care of orphans and children in distress aged between 0 to 21 years.

 The site was formerly situated in Guilongou. In addition to orphans, the site also rescues children in deep distress, victims of malnutrition, suffering from bad treatments and abandonment. The territory of Loumbila and its inhabitants conceded to the orphan a 34-acre field on which the orphan is built today

Most of the residents are fatherless and motherless or abandoned by one of them. The orphan is also opened to children whose parents cannot guarantee upbringing or survival. Moreover, the orphanage also accepts children from the village in its school which is up thanks to "Graines de Joie", a local association.

The orphanage is operational mainly thanks to the donations of associations. These donations, collected year by year, are used to improve any daily activity and to finance its infrastructure. However, the situation remains tense. The nursery opening is planned to welcome 40 babies. So it is all the more important to bring with our donations any help to the nuns of the orphanage.
